Sims 4 Studio (Harmony) updates for Vampires

Studio 3.0.1.1 (Harmony) is updated for the Vampire Game Pack that came out earlier today.

Sims 4 Studio 1.1.0.2 (Appletini) for Mac updates for Vampires

Sims 4 Studio: Harmony 3.0.0.5

The new Sims 4 Studio beta is up and it is updated for Vintage Glamour.
image

There are a lot of fixes addressing issues reported in the bug thread. Among the issues is (hopefully) a fix for the bug that causes Swedish to show up even if your game isn’t in Swedish. Objects with an alpha will now appear with an alpha in the model viewer, and the Warehouse bug that caused problems importing new resources is now squashed. Image swatches and color swatches no longer require the use of a radio button to flip between them.

Sims 4 Studio Appletini (1.1.0.0)

Studio’s Mac version now has a CAS mesh import/export feature and can merge .packages among other new things. It is updated through the latest EA patch and includes City Living and Vintage Glamour items.

Sims 4 Studio: Jackpot & Harmony update for the Dec 1 patch

Harmony (3.0.0.3) and Jack (2.7.1.4) are updated. Harmony also has an auto-resize wall image feature added to the Studio tab.

Mac users, a new Mac version should be ready sometime this weekend, and it will contain an update for the patch.

Sims 4 Studio 3.0.0.2 (Harmony)

Another update with fixes and some features you may not know about.
image

First the features. The CAS model viewer window can be resized to maximize the swatch thumbnail box width. Also, an “Apply to all swatches” has been added for CAS mesh Outfit Type. That feature will be added to My CC in the near future as well so everyone will be able to re-cat items easily.

11/20/16

Sims 4 Studio 3.0.0.0 (Harmony)
Sims 4 Studio updates today with a Windows version that begins to reconcile the code of Appleseed (Mac) and Jackpot (Windows) and is compatible with Blender 2.78. The process required ditching a MFT of legacy code from the Windows version, so a lot of Studio has been rewritten, indicated by the jump from v 2 to v 3. Read the complete changelog in the download post. For the highlights, read on.
The result is a better CAS interface, among other things. Because of the magnitude of code changes, this is a somewhat alpha-y beta, but it has some great features and will make the addition of more new features for both versions of Studio less time-consuming in the long run. Lest the Mac creators are concerned, this reconciliation is our commitment to a Sims 4 Studio for Windows and Mac. More is coming for Mac (CAS mesh export-import is next).

Sims 4 Studio updates for City Living

The new version of Sims 4 Studio (Jackpot) updated for City Living is available HERE.
image

The Mac version (Appleseed) update will be available ASAP. As this update will include more than just changes for City Living, it will take a bit longer than the Windows version.

8/16/16

Introducing Sims 4 Studio for Mac: Appleseed

It’s HERE! It’s been a long time coming, and we’re really excited to bring a Mac CC tool to the Sims 4 community. This is a versatile tool for making custom content for Sims 4, and batch-fixing your Sims 4 custom content. As those familiar with Sims 4 Studio will note, the Mac version does not have all the features of the Windows version. If there is interest in the Mac version, more features will be added over time.
7/14/16

Hi all, today’s patch caused many CC lamps to stop placing in the game properly (they cause a script-call failure), and Studio’s latest update contains a batch-fix that will repair them.

It may be that EA will fix the problem on their end but until they do, or if they don’t, you can have working lamps using this batch-fix. If you fix your lamps this will not cause them any harm in the event that EA backs out changes that caused them to break.
New lamps cloned from patched games will not be affected by the patch-breakage nor will they need to be batch-fixed.

Download Studio 2.7.0.8 HERE.

6/29/16

Studio update for Kid’s Room Stuff
The latest version of Studio, 2.7.0.7, is up and offers access to all the Kid’s Room Stuff. Download it HERE.

It also has a batch fixer for CC single beds so they can conceal a monster just like the EA beds do. This batch fix will not affect double beds, and it should leave correctly made decorative split single bed frames alone as well. This is to say a CC bed must have both single bed tuning and bed tagging in order to get fixed so a monster will move in.

6/26/16

Jackpot 2.7.0.6:
Hey all, Studio updates today with more improvements/fixes for the Dine Out patch and game pack. Many will be pleased to hear that it includes a batch fix for chairs and tables to make your CC work in restaurants. It will add the right tag for chairs and the placemat and booth slots for tables (while retaining the original slots).

Studio updates tonight with the ability to slot counters! Download our base game counter slot mod HERE

EA's counters are really cute but they, like most of EA's items, suffer from a severe lack of slots.  This mod will fix that problem for all base game counters.  You can clutter your counters as much as you want with hundreds of slots on each counter type.  Sinks and dishwashers will still work and Sims can still use uncluttered counters.

Clutter will stop the Sims from using the counter if you clutter up their work-space and clutter will make it not possible to move a cluttered counter from a space that isn't against the wall to a space that is against the wall when MOO is off.  If MOO is on the counter will move but any clutter that would be embedded in the wall will be deleted by the game.

Another issue with EA's counters is that they don't let you rotate appliances and there are no appliance slots on some of the counters.  This mod fixes those problems too.  It puts an appliance slot on every counter type and unlocks all appliance slots so they will allow you to rotate most appliances as you want.  Sims will still use the appliances you put on counter space where it never fit before.

There is a large slot on almost every counter type and there are medium slots on all counter types.  In all this mod has so many slots that we didn't count them all.  Basically your counters turn into one gigantic slot surface that you can place tons of stuff on however you want it placed...remember if you want your Sims to use the counter you have to leave an open space where they can put things.  We hope you will enjoy this mod...the download is below the picture credits.

S4 CAS Tools by CmarNYC

This is a full-purpose tool for creating CAS custom content for TS4. It's specifically meant to work with Milkshape 3D and to get around the limitations of using MS3D for Sims 4 meshes, but many of the functions can be done with OBJ files which can be used by almost any meshing program.

Here's a summary of the functions:

Cloning Tool - clone from game packages or custom packages

Clone Package Editor - working with custom content packages
General CAS part properties - properties applied to all recolors
Recolor Manager - properties for each recolor
Previewer
Mesh Manager - export and import meshes
General Mesh Manager - fixes / changes applied to all meshes
Mesh Region Manager - view / modify regions
Thumbnail Manager - set up custom thumbnails

Tool to work with UI textures by CmarNYC

Many of the UI images in UI.package are in a custom EA format - to get technical, they're in pairs of ATI2-compressed DDS files using YCoCg color space. This tool will take a pair of these images and convert them into one bitmap (.bmp) image which any image editor can modify. Then the tool will take a bitmap and convert it to the EA custom format, producing a pair of files which can be packaged and used in the game.

The UI image pairs have the same Instance ID, one has Group 0x00064DC9 and the other has Group 0x00064DCA. Be sure to load each in the right place in the tool or you'll get very strange-looking results.

Bitmaps must have dimensions that are a power of 4 to compress correctly: 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, etc.

TS4 Package Searcher by CmarNYC

This is a little tool to enable users to find resources in the TS4 game packages. You can enter any combination of Type, Group, and/or Instance ID - for example you can enter a full TGI (type, group, instance) to find which packages it's in, or you can enter a Type ID to find which packages contain that type.

TS4 Package Conflict Detector by Scumbumbo

Updated (Already) - Due to some good suggestions from users, an update is available already to version 1.1.0. This adds a disable/enable package function and the ability to move a package to the backup folder. Complete list of changes is at the bottom of this page.

Description and Installation/Compatibility
This is a program to analyze package mods for The Sims 4 to determine if there are resource conflicts or duplicates. In addition, it will scan package files for corruption which can cause the TS4 game to abort loading with an error.

This program is written using Visual Studio for Windows and requires .Net 4.5 or higher to be installed on your computer to use. There is an installer if you want a program folder and start menu entry automatically created, easy upgrades, etc. You can also just download the EXE file and run it from any folder you want to put it in. Finally, if you are a masochist you can download the source code and compile, alter or extend the program in any manner you wish.

Basic Usage

There are two basic modes the program can run in:
The default mode will only read the indexes of all packages and then perform a hash comparison only on those resources which have the same ID.
Optionally, you can choose to verify the readability of all the resources in your package files. In addition to performing the comparison above, this will read everything in every package in order to ensure they do not have internal errors.

TS4 XML Compare - Version 1.3 by scumbumbo

This is probably one of my favorite modding utilities when it comes time to update mods for a new game version. This will compare the XML from two versions of the game easily so you can see what has changed from the old version to the new version. You will be able to easily see exactly which game XML tuning files have been updated and what those changes are - which can be a massive time saver and help to find any inconsistencies your mod may be causing (for instance, an EA update to a tuning file that doesn't affect gameplay for you because you don't have the expansion or game pack, so you wouldn't notice it otherwise).

The program launches the WinMerge program to make the comparisons, so you will need to install it from SourceForge in order to use this program. Some of the command line options for WinMerge have changed from older versions - this is written to be compatible with version 2.14.0.0 of WinMerge.

TS4 Skininator by CmarNYC

The TS4 skintone system has a lot of potential, and I've been working on a tool to make it easier to work with, similar to Skininator for TS3.

Definition of Terms: (These are the terms I'm using - they're not 'official'.)
TONE : A game file which defines a skintone. It links to the color images, the overlays, and contains various settings.
Skintone : The skin you click on in CAS, which is defined by a TONE file.
Body skin details : A texture with shading, contouring, and details such as muscles and belly buttons. (Yes, I know there's a separate 'skin details' in CAS. Couldn't think of a better term.) There are separate textures for each age/gender/bodytype.
Skin color image : A texture which applies color and some shading composited with the skin details. There is one skin color texture which is applied to all age/genders.
Overlay : A texture which is layered on top of the skin details and skin color. The ages and genders it applies to can be specified.

Tool Overview:

Create/Edit Custom Skin Colors
Cloning Tool : Clones game skintones and creates a package with the TONE files.
Clone Package Editor : Open and modify cloned packages.
TONE Manager : Add/Delete TONEs, modify flags defining the type and usage, modify the swatch color and various other settings, import and export the skin color images.
Overlay Manager : Add/Delete overlays, define which ages/genders each overlay applies to, import and export overlay images.
Previewer : Preview skintones.
Create/Edit Default Replacement Skin Details
Make New Default Replacement Package : Select which skin details you want to replace and clone them to a new package.
Edit/Test Default Replacement Package : Import/Export textures and preview the skin details.

DP STBL Editor by Deaderpool

DP STBL Editor is a Stand-alone STBL Text String editor for Windows. It was created in VS 2012, which I believe uses .Net 4.5.

This utility was designed primarily for helping people that need to do a lot of translations for mods like mod creators or translators. It has the capability of bringing the STBL file directly in from a package file, which should help translators who may not have experience using S4PE to extract the STBL files for the language they wish to update.

It has other functions built-in like importing changes from XML files or exported STBL tables as XML and comparing two STBL files to generate an XML file with the differences between them.

This utility uses the standard S4PE naming scheme for opening or saving ".stbl" files. Really, you don't have to worry about all of this unless you're generating a new STBL. The program will handle it for you.
The STBL resource filename would follow a pattern like this: S4_220557DA_00000000_YYXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Updated - Pose Player by Andrew

This is a mod that will add the option to play poses and animations in game.  It adds an interaction to your sims called Pose By Name and Pose By Pack.  Just click on your sim like you would to do anything else.  When you choose the Pose By Name option, you can enter the name of the animation (I have attached a text file below with all EA in-game animation names below) and your sim will do that animation until you cancel the interaction.  You can use it on your sim or any other sim even if it is not part of your sim's household.  To stop a sim from posing, just click them again and you will have an option to stop the pose.

XML Extractor for The Sims 4 by scumbumbo

Description

This is a utility program to extract the game's XML files for use in creating mods. XML can be extracted from the installed game packages or a single combined tuning file. The program can also easily be used to extract a single binary tuning file from the game packages and convert that to a combined XML tuning file.

The program is designed to perform these functions quickly by only loading those parts of the game packages that are required for producing the XML and looking ahead to quickly build required lookup tables.

When extracting the XML in Full Automatic mode (the recommended and default mode) the game's strings and references to other XML resource names can be included in comments. This feature is not available when working with a single combined tuning file.

Also in Full Automatic, the program can optionally output two tab delimited text files with all strings and XML resource names. This file is suitable for opening in a spreadsheet package for easy searching.

Mod Conflict Detector by DmitryMalfatto

Mod Conflict Detector for The Sims 4. It's a powerful GUI tool for detecting and solving mod conflicts in the game. Allows you to get rid of trouble-making mods, empty mods, mods for another games, or technically-not-even-mods, that got in the Mods folder by mistake. I've been developing this program since February 2015, and now it's finally available not only in Russian, but in English as well!

Main Features:
Detect non-TS4 files;
Detect stray files (not *.package, *.zip et al, but something that doesn't belong in your Mods folder);
Disable (particular) mods;
Open file in s4pi;
Show file in folder;
Delete file(s) straight from the program;
Search for duplicate mods;
Analyse files (to find out exactly in what way they modify the game);
Copy conflicting ResourceKeys.

S4GI - The Sims 4 Game Identifier [Beta 0.1 - Testers Wanted] by simalary44

Welcome

Hello everyone, today, I made a program that can help you learn more details about your game - well, in a different way. This program can help you learn more about the technical side of things. It can help you locate your game installation path, your mods folder, and more!

What I need tested: Basically the whole program itself. I have tested it, but I need people with other machines so I know that the install directory works for everyone. [Please save your game when using tasks that will close it as it does NOT save for you]

Features
- Currently only in English
- Locates your base game install location!
- Locates your mods folder!
- States what DLC, game packs, stuff packs* , and expansion packs* you have installed! [* = Pack(s) currently not released. The program WILL detect cracked versions, if installed through the base game installation path and having the pack folder (Ex: AB01)]
- States whether your Sims 4 game is open!
- Easily launch and exit* your game! [* = The program does NOT save your game, it will confirm this action with you]
- Easily clears your cache for you!
- Lists game version*! [On some machines (like mine), the GameVersion.txt file is not read correctly]
- Export the details on a .txt file to your desktop to view easily!
- More features planned ahead!
