The Siren Trait: Reloaded by Aaronj3

So, I'll try my best not to ramble, but this is my first trait uploaded to MTS. I got my inspiration from MamaCallie's Siren trait. Unfortunately it has been reported to have been broken for quite a while. I wanted to simply fix it, however, I'm not the most experienced at modding.

Instead, I decided to revamp their trait, adding some new features I thought of along the way.
Needs
Sirens' needs are mainly the same, except their social need decays 1.5x faster

Skills and Relationships
Sirens gain singing skill twice as fast
Charisma and Mischief are gained about 1.5x faster
Friendly and romantic relationships are gained around 1.5x faster, and failed romantic interactions don't have as much of a penalty
Misc.
Sirens have a powerful flirty moodlet by default
Whims
Kiss A Sim
Flirt
Freshen up in a mirror
Depending of which version you download, your siren may also become immortal (Unable to die but can still age) and have a ghostly voice.

Sorcerer Trait by CardTaken

Hey, Triplis here. I've been intrigued by discussions about Sorcery in TS4 and I thought what better way to make something simple and fun than a Sorcerer Trait, with some special interactions.

It of course wasn't at all simple making the interactions I did, as modding always seems to look easier in the idea phase... but I got a few interactions working so far, and I have some deeper feature ideas I'm working on, assuming I can get them working.

 Sorcerer Trait

Picked up in the Lifestyle category in CAS. "Powers" (so far) can be used by Teen and older. Child Sims can have the trait, but it works differently for them.

Name: Sorcerer

Description: These Sims, if you're wondering for the purposes of searching out prospects for a witch hunt, definitely don't have supernatural powers and can do nothing "magical" that other Sims can't.

More CAS Traits for Sims Mod updated for toddler patch by chingyu1023

All credits give to Embyr311, who created this kind of mod.

Since Embyr311 has not been updated their original mod for the toddler patch for a while and the original mod makes toddlers' trait disappeared, I have decided to make updated versions of the mod.

I used Embyr311's tuning file by editing the numbers in xml and added toddlers' part.

----
You can add/ remove Trait to Sim by cheats

Use ctrl+shift+C
Type "testing chests on"
Type "traits.equip_trait <traitnameNoSpaces>"

And remove Trait from Sim by
Type "traits.remove_trait <traitnameNoSpaces>"

Emotional Inertia by roBurky

What it does
When your sim enters an emotion, they get a long-lasting moodlet for that emotion. This moodlet starts strong, gets weaker over time, and can be reduced faster by doing emotion-reducing interactions like giving yourself a pep talk.

This mod also includes an edited package of Zerbu's mod 'Uncomfortable Boosts Negative Emotions', which makes uncomfortable moodlets boost the score of negative emotions in the same way happy boosts the score of positive emotions.

Why would you want this?
In the base game, sims' emotions typically flip about on four hour timers like little clockwork goldfish. Nothing affects their mood for long, and once you're familiar with the game, it's not difficult to get the few points needed to change their mood when you want to.

With this mod, once something happens to put a sim in a mood, that mood will likely last at least a few hours, and even after that, it will take time and effort to put them in a different frame of mind. The aim is for this to make your sims feel a little more human, and to make managing their mood take a little more planning and be a little more challenging.

Emotional Inertia in detail
When your sim of child age or older enters an emotion other than happy or uncomfortable, they will be given a moodlet for that emotion: +2 for a positive emotion, or +3 for a negative emotion. When that moodlet’s timer runs out, it will be replaced by a weaker moodlet.

For positive emotions:
+2 ‘Still X’ - lasts 15 hours, followed by
+1 ‘Lingering X thoughts’ - lasts 20 hours

For negative emotions:
+3 ‘Still X’ - lasts 10 hours, followed by
+2 ‘Lingering X’ - lasts 10 hours, followed by
+1 ‘Lingering X thoughts’ - lasts 20 hours

After your sim enters another emotion, the inertia moodlet from the previous emotion will be removed.
The amount of points needed to enter the ‘very’ stage of an emotion has been raised to allow for these changes.

8 Pack of Teen Exclusive Traits by CardTaken

Hi! Triplis here. I've been thinking for a long time about Emotions in TS4 and I thought what better way to put some ideas to work than make a set of Traits exclusive to Teens, a life stage that many agree is sorely lacking in unique gameplay.

So I made a set of 8 Traits, just for Teens. They were a labor of love and sweat, and I learned a lot about modding along the way. I hope you enjoy them.

There is a lot of detail information to say about them. If you would prefer to do as little reading as possible and jump in-game to try them, I nonetheless recommend you at least skim the "What you need to know" section, as it contains some information that can prevent you from becoming very confused.

Happy Simming!

 What you need to know:

1) The package file comes in two versions: Base Game and Expansions (ONLY USE ONE AT A TIME!). The Expansions version includes references to Nightclub venue, Cafe venue, and DJ Mixing skill from Get Together; Singing skill from City Living; and Organ skill from Vampires. Features that are only part of the Expansion version, or are different in the Base Game version, will be denoted with an * in each trait's "Features" section below.

If you are feeling daring and only have some of the above named Expansions, you are welcome to use the Expansions version anyway. I don't have any reason to believe that issues are guaranteed to crop up, but the possibility is there. If you do try this and you run into issues, please let me know, so I can inform people. If it causes significant issues, I may consider splitting things up in more detail in the future.

2) Each custom trait has "Cannot Die" status linked to it; meaning, if your Sim has one of the 8 custom traits, they can't die. Some of the traits revolve around extreme emotions that fall under Angry, Embarrassed, or Playful, so I felt it was important that they are free to have extreme emotions without random emotional deaths. Note that because the traits are exclusive to Teens, they will lose the trait when they Age Up from Teen and therefore lose Cannot Die status in the process. So if you're worried about your Sim never dying, fear not! Age them up to lose the trait and they will be vulnerable to death again.

I may look into making them immune only to emotional deaths in the future. For the time being, this was the most straightforward way for me to do it.

3) You will find the Traits under the Lifestyle category in CAS (but only if your Sim is a Teen!)

Anxious Trait (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) by skilynn

Inspired by saphryn's Depressed trait, iridescentlaura's Social Anxiety Disorder trait, emile20's Bipolar trait, and miceylulu's Borderline Personality Disorder trait, I have made a trait to portray Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is an anxiety disorder characterized by excessive, uncontrollable and often irrational worry, that is, apprehensive expectation about events or activities. This excessive worry often interferes with daily functioning, as individuals with GAD typically anticipate disaster, and are overly concerned about everyday matters such as health issues, money, death, family problems, friendship problems, interpersonal relationship problems, or work difficulties. [x]

Basics
Bladder, Hygiene, Fun, and Energy decrease at a faster rate. Hunger and Social decrease slower.
Creative skills, especially musical skills, are built faster, as they are common coping mechanisms for people who suffer from this disorder. The Video gaming skill also increases faster.
If you have Spa Day, the Wellness skill is built faster, as meditation and yoga are common coping skills.
Since it is hard to balance anxiety with logic, the Logic skill is harder to build.
Social skills are harder to build.
Anxious Sims find it harder to succeed in "high-stress" or "high-risk" jobs: Astronaut, Business, Secret Agent, Doctor (Get to Work), and Politics (City Living). It is easier for them to succeed in other jobs, though: Painter and Tech Guru.
Teens with the trait have a harder time succeeding in school, and succeeding in the Retail career.
Sims with GAD often feel misunderstood, so it is harder for them to build relationships.

Social Anxiety Disorder - Trait by iridescentlaura

Sims with social anxiety disorder suffer from distorted thinking, including false beliefs about social situations and the negative opinions of others.

Without treatment, social anxiety disorder can negatively interfere with the sim’s normal daily routine, including school, work, social activities, and relationships. A Sim with social anxiety disorder may be afraid of a specific situation, such as speaking in public. However, most sims with social anxiety disorder fear more than one social situation.

The Wish Master by WildWitch

The art of granting wishes has been lost to the ages now the wish masters are back.

In buy mode (decorations/clutter) there's an object called "Quill of Contacts" Have your sims you want to become wish masters ponder the quill. They will be granted a new trait called wish master, wish masters can grant sims wishes through the friendly pie menu pie selecting offer wish contract, the wishes granted will have effects on the character for example

Granting beauty wish
This wish will add a new trait to the target sim that broadcasts a flirty buff to all sims within range, this is on top of having a boost to social skills.

Now granting wishes is all very well and good but collecting payments is far better

Your wish masters will be able to extract many payments for granting wishes that will sometimes negatively effect the target sim, be warned however only one wish can be granted per sim and one payment (after three day cool down) can be collected, the payments are in the mischief pie menu.

The list of payments are as follows

Charm - you will build social skills faster and be more likely to succeed in social endeavours
Mind - you will build mental skills faster and be more likely to succeed in mental endeavours
Creativity - you will build creative skills faster and be more likely to succeed in creative endeavours
Simoleons - you will gain a randomly generated number of simoleons between 10k and 15k
Collectable - you will receive a random collectable
Life - your age will reset in your current age category
Void contract - you will receive nothing but the good will of the sim.

Enjoy collecting wish debts and granted wishes.

Bipolar Trait by emile20

Bipolar I Disorder features sims experiencing a range of emotions either manic highs or depressive lows or both at the same time. With this expect sims to gain buffs that last up to 18 hours sometimes multiple which can affect their moods. Sims will either get a depressive episode (which makes them very sad), Feel Empty (which makes them tense), Feel Irritable (which makes them very angry) or have a manic episode (which makes them feel energized.

Bipolar I is very intense so dealing with sims with this trait can be very difficult to navigate their life.

Bipolar II disorder essentially is Bipolar I with the same buffs being depressive episode (which makes them very sad), Empty (which makes them tense), Agitated (which makes them very angry) or have a Hypomanic episode (which makes them feel energized. . I'd recommend this one for starters. Buffs in this trait can last anywhere from 15 mins - 4 hours periods.

My inspiration for this mod is myself as I suffer from this disorder and having my sims go through the emotions that I feel daily is therapeutic and it can bring awareness to mental illness so it will not be a taboo subject.

This mod is in no way made to mock or discredit the illness so please do not be offended. Awareness and Positivity.

More Cheat Shortcuts by darkhorus

Cheating has always been a big part of any Sims game. From storytellers needing to set up the perfect circumstances for a certain scene or storyline, to those players who just can't be bothered to sim their way up to the proverbial top the old-fashioned way; there's bound to be something there for any type of simmer, even you!

Have you never cheated in The Sims? Well then, get in the game and fix that, asap! It is not yet too late, to join the dark side with us! Besides, we have cookies!

Okay, let's just cut the chit chat short, and get down to what you're here for!

As you may know, a lot of cheats (most notably the 'unofficial' ones not shared by the devs, but found and published by our own TwistedMexi) are quite long, and some can be pretty hard to remember, too. That is where this Mod comes into play.

Building onto the original cheat shortcuts Mod by plasticbox, More Cheat Shortcuts is my initiative to add... well, shortcuts for more cheats!

So, let's see what we've got here.

So this Mod contains shortcuts for the same cheats that plasticbox' Mod does + a lot more!! I'll walk you through all of them.

This Mod contains shortcuts in the following cheat categories:
General
Money & Funds
Build/Buy
Skills
Traits
Perks (retail & restaurant)
Powers (vampires)
Careers
Vampires (misc.)

Violent Trait (Always Angry) by PhantomRiderYT

This mod adds a new custom trait to the Emotional category- The Violent trait!
This doesn't mean your Sim will beat up other Sims, though it does mean your Sim might be rather mean to anyone and everyone they meet!

Violent Sims are almost always angry and become angry easily. They'll also act out on angry emotions more often, such as yelling at other Sims and kicking over trash cans!

They can cause other Sims around them to become sad and angry because of their own anger.
Instead of becoming uncomfortable with their surroundings, they become furious!
So, what's the difference between this and the hotheaded trait?
Well, first off, the Violent sim is ALWAYS a little angry and is MUCH, MUCH more likely to act out on their angry emotions. This package also includes proximity buffs that cause other sims to be sad sometimes when hanging out around this sim! It includes two sad proximity buffs: "I'm hurt..." and "How Mean!"
This trait also includes a few whims such as "Kick over a garbage can" and "Insult Someone's Face" for your amusement!

Beware the rage of this Sim!

Side note: You may want to be careful about making this Sim extra angry because Sims have died to the anger of this trait!

The Living Mannequin Mod 1.0 by G1G2

  • -the mannequins are a costume found in face paint available from toddlers to to elders.
  • -the other part is a trait without adding them Mannequins are like any normal sims
  • -the trait is available for all age and its under life style.
  • -the trait makes your mannequins needless they don't need to eat nor sleep or dispose or shower etc.
  • -the trait also with buffs that are related to mannequins like "lacking life"
  • "what am i" and "how life feels like" images down in spoilers.
  • -the trait will make sims having them super great if they are npc working in a retail store or if they have a "teen retail" as a part time job.

Depressed Trait by saphryn

Playing "Gloomy" Sims, to me, never felt like the trait had a big enough impact on my Sims' lives. Sure, they were sad once and a while--but they moved on, and life was still a happy world for them. I wanted something that made my Sims' lives harder, more realistic; using personal experience, I've created a "Depressed" trait that, after much testing, is far more effective than its sister, "Gloomy".

The Basics
The base trait holds a hidden buff that affects many aspects of the Sim's life.
"Energy", "Fun", and "Social" will decay faster. Likewise, they will be harder to build up.
Most "Creative" skills (cooking and musical oriented) build 25% faster.
The "Fitness" skill is 20% harder to build.
Social skills, such as "Comedy" and "Charisma" are 25% and 50% harder to build respectively.
Sims are more likely to get angry, embarrassed, inspired, and sad. Contrariwise, they will be harder to make confident, energized, and playful.
Depressed Sims have a boost to careers in social media, culinary, entertainer, and painter. They will have a harder time as a critic or athlete.
Friendship and romance between Sims is harder to build. Failed interactions have a higher penalty.

Romance Aspiration (TS2-TS4) by jackboog21

The Romance aspiration from The Sims 2 is back! Thanks to Zerbu's awesome Mod Constructor I have recreated the Romance aspiration.

The original aspiration had 6 levels and each were different depending on age. So I took the 1st from Teen, 2 from Adult, and 1 from Elder. When creating each level I pulled from the name and the original aspiration's wants. In the end, this turned out as kind of a more extreme version of the Serial Romantic aspiration.

The aspiration will give your Sim whims; though none of them are new whims. Basic things, like Become Flirty, WooHoo, etc.

Unlocked Lot Traits by Dorsal Axe

This mod unlocks the 10 locked lot traits that are included with City Living. 3 of them you may not be familiar with, as they normally go unused. You'll be able to add and remove them from any lot you wish, including apartments that have been pre-assigned these traits. Please do note that there's a good reason why most of these traits were locked in the first place...

The following traits do absolutely nothing. They're just for flavor.
- Cheap
- Lively Neighbors
- Low Deposit
- Quiet

All of these traits also do nothing, as their "effects" are in fact dependent on specific objects (that require other mods to be shown in catalog).
- Great View
Requires special windows that generate the "Great View" moodlet
- Historical
Requires unmoveable plaque
- Needs TLC
Requires utility box, leaky pipes, mouse hole, roaches, and leaky drain.
- Romantic Fireplace
Requires unmoveable fireplace

These traits do actually have effects.
- Pricey
This one provides a constant positive moodlet for all residents on the lot.
- Serviced Apartment
Provides a free recurring maid service.

Pyromaniac Trait - Start Fires by nl_alexxx

Mod description
This mod adds the Pyromaniac trait to the Sims 4.

Basically Sims with this trait have the same "Start Fire" as Angry ghosts who died from fire. Additionally they react differently to fire, by getting a happy buff instead of a tense one. They can't get hurt by fire (had to be done since otherwise they will catch on fire after starting one), or singed, and will get a sad buff when fires are put out.

On top of this pyromaniacs also have whims to light / purchase a fireplace, and start a fire. There's also an extra buff that is given by a fireplace.

I might make a different version of this mod later that will override a setting that prevents fires on certain lots, so fires can be started on every lot type, if there is enough demand. Or I might seperate them as they can work independently.

Introvert Trait by theswarm

This is a brand new trait for your shy sims!

"Outside... whats that? These sims are shy, hate being outside their house, and will get uncomfortable when out of their house for too long. These sims social need decays much slower, and building lasting relationships is more difficult."

What this trait does to your sims:
~Makes it harder for Introvert sims to maintain relationships (relationships decay faster, takes longer to increase).
~Makes their Social need decay slower than normal.
~Their Fun need decays slower than normal.
~All skills are a little bit faster to gain.

This trait appears under the Lifestyle category.

There are no new buffs or whims with this trait.

Borderline Personality Disorder Custom Trait by miceylulu

Hey! This mod adds the custom trait "Borderline" to your game, which severely affects your Sims emotional wellbeing and the ability to meet their needs. If you have BPD like me and you have suggestions for additions or changes to this mod, I'm happy to hear what you have to say! If you don't have BPD, then hopefully this might be a little window into how much this disorder can affect people.

DISCLAIMER or WHY WOULD I MAKE THIS?

Continuing with this project of mine, I decided to make this because I myself experience borderline personality disorder. I am very familiar with its devastating effects, and the severe toll it has on a person, their wellbeing, and their safety. I nearly died from the severity of this illness. That said, a trait in Sims will never fully encompass a mental illness, and so I definitely am NOT saying that this is a) the perfect representation, b) that mental illness is a "game", or c) that everyone experiences BPD the same way.

I add these kinds of things to my game because I focus on stories, and making a Sim with this would allow me to create a story where things turn out okay. If you believe this would be triggering for you, which is a definite possibility, then please do not download this mod. I wish you the best, and please stay safe. I know what it can be like. And I know that it might be upsetting to see this mod, but I do promise you I made it with good intentions, which are to educate and to share my own experience with this illness.

Everyone plays Sims for different reasons in different ways. It's okay if this is not the way you want to play, but others might.
